Remembering the Historic 1957 Northwest Passage Transit of the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter STORIS

Join retired U.S. Coast Guard Master Chief Damage Controlman James O. Hiller of Clyde Township and civilian USCGC Storis historian Jon A. Ottman of Clay Township for a journey "Across the Top of the World," through the Northwest Passage of the Canadian Arctic.  The duo will discuss the historic 1957 transit of the Northwest Passage by U.S. Coast Guard Cutters Storis, Bramble, and Spar, through a brief documentary video and color slides taken on the trip.  Master Chief Hiller will provide commentary from his perspective as a then 19-year-old junior enlisted sailor aboard Storis.
